Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have reportedly paid half of the outstanding salaries of its players and technical staff.

The club owes its players and technical staff four months salary arrears but have paid two months and are confident of paying the rest in coming weeks.

Hearts, just like many clubs in Ghana, have been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The club's main source of income which is gate proceeds has ceased following the suspension of football activities in the country as a result of the pandemic.

Since March, no football has been played in the country. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) were forced to cancel the season and are looking forward to a new season in October.
