Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have paid tribute to former skipper Jonathan Oti Ankrah who passed away in the United States of America after battling coronavirus.
The 84-year-old died on Wednesday night in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Official statement from the clubs reads:
“Everyone Hearts Of Oak is saddened to hear of the passing of our former player Joseph Oti Ankrah (Joe Dakota). He was a pillar in defence at the club during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this grievious moment”,the club wrote on their twitter handle.
