Hearts of Oak Public Relations Officer, Opare Addo has debunked reports circulating in the media that there has been an agreement to reduce the salary of players by 3o percent.

There were wide spread reports in the local media about players agreeing to the pay cut proposed by management.

"It is not true that we have agreed on a 30% pay-cut, it is not even a public announcement, we will do it with our players. Everything we do is between us (Club) and the players"Opare told OTEC FM on the salary pay cut.

"If there is anything that we want the public to know, we will communicate to them on our social media platforms", he added.

GHANAsoccernet.com sources at the club also indicates that management is currently engaging players and technical team over a salary pay cut.

This was confirmed by the Supporters Chief Elvis Herman Hesse in an interview.

“Personally, I support the pay cut because to run a club in this country is not easy. It’s only when we play against Aduana, Asante Kotoko, AshGold, Liberty that we generate revenue. Sometimes, we don’t earn anything, he told Happy FM.

“The players are not working and the services that they have to render for the club to pay them full salary is not there. If the players can agree to a pay cut it wont be a bad thing”.

“Management is engaging the players on it. I have had the opportunity to discuss with the players to accept this which I know will be temporal”, he added.
