Hearts of Oak quash reports of meeting players over pay cut

Ghana giants Hearts of Oak have refuted claims of meeting players over a pay cut amid coronavirus crises.

Many clubs are taking measures to ensure that they survive the financial difficulties they are facing at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic which includes the slashing of players' salaries.

Reports emerged that club's management made pay cut proposals before the players to consider but the club's communications director, Opare Addo has denied the club have not met the players over a possible pay slash.

"Within the week I read stories that we have met with the players on salary cut. I can say on authority that, Hearts of Oak have not introduced or discussed pay cut with the players. It is not true," he said.

Football clubs all over the World have been hit by the global pandemic crisis which has led to the suspension of all football activities.

The Ghana Premier League and all other football leagues and competitions in country have also been put on hold until further notice.
