Hearts of Oak are ready to promote and reward assistant coach Edward Nii Odoom with an improved two-year contract.

The former Tema Youth boss took temporary charge of the Phobians after Kim Grant was relived of his post and has turned the club's fortunes around.

He has won two matches against Liberty Professionals and Ebusua Dwarfs and drew with WAFA in Sogakope.

According to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM, Hearts of Oak officials are purring over the tactics and work ethic of Odoom and want to keep him for long term.

If Odoom beats Kotoko on Sunday, he should be in a good position to negotiate for a bumper pay rise.
