Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have sealed a major signing after capturing Niger international midfielder Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali.

The 23-year-old moves to the former African champions on a free transfer after leaving Sudanese giants and Premier League club Al-Merreikh.

The defensive midfielder signed a two-year contract with the Accra-based giants on Thursday representing a key acquisitions by the Phobians.

"Accra Hearts of Oak is delighted to announce the signing of Niger national team player, Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali," Accra Hearts of Oak said in a statement on Thursday.

"The defensive midfielder has signed a 2-year contract with us."

The signing of Lawali is a major demonstration by the Phobians that they want to challenge for the title when the league resumes.

Lawali started his career with Nigerien giants AS Douanes before moving to JS Tahoua where he was snapped up by Al-Merreikh.

He is one of four players to be announced by the club this transfer window.
