Hearts of Oak midfielder Salifu Ibrahim has been ruled out of the CAF Confederation Cup second leg encounter against Algerian side JS Saoura.

The left-footed player picked up an injury in the first leg game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday and had to be substituted.

Salifu was key for The Phobians  in the 2-0 win in the first leg.

He scored the first goal of the game before Agyenim Boateng added a second to secure that 2-0 win.

The former Eleven Wonders midfielder will miss the trip to Algeria for the second leg according to reports in the media.

The club is yet to determine the extent of his injury but reports indicate he won’t travel with the team for the second leg.

The Ghana Premier League champions will depart to Algeria in the coming days to continue with preparations for the second leg.
