Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have stepped up their pursuit of Nkoranza Warriors midfield dynamo Emmanuel Sarkodie, according to media reports.

Sarkodie has emerged as a top transfer target for the Phobians in the second round of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League following his distinctive display in the ongoing National Division One League season.

According to reports, Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nwokolo Nelson met the President of Nkoranza Warriors Mr. Kuku Bartels in Accra earlier today over the signing of the attacking midfielder.

The 23-year-old enforcer has been a revelation in the second-tier league after bagging eight Most Valuable Player gongs in 13 league games.

The Accra-based giants want to bolster their midfield options with the Nkoranza Warriors star ahead of the resumption of the league.

The Ghana Premier League is currently suspended in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Hearts of Oak occupy 9th place with 21 points from 14 matches having played a game less.
