Hearts of Oak to use ‘different strategy’ in next game after winless start

Hearts of Oak will deploy a different strategy in their attempt to end their winless run in the Ghana Premier League, according to assistant coach Hamza Obeng.

Hamza said the change will take effect from their next game which is against AshantiGold at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium this weekend.

"Yes, on the system we play, we are taking every game match after match, our next match is an away game and we will deploy a different strategy,” Hamza said.

Hearts have surprisingly made a poor start to the season with fans growing frustrated over their inability to win games.

The reigning champions haven’t won a single match and trail Asante Kotoko by six points already.

In their first match, they drew goalless in Accra against Legon Cities who survived relegation last season.

They travelled to Sogakope for their second match and that didn’t end in joy as WAFA scored a second-half equaliser after Kofi Kordzi had given the Phobians the lead.

Over the weekend, Hearts recorded their third draw against Adauan Stars who were awarded a contentious penalty, which was converted by Bright Adjei to cancel out Kordzi’s early lead.
