Hearts of Oak triumph over Danbort in a friendly

Published on: 29 March 2012

Hearts of Oak beat second-tier Danbort FC 2-1 in a friendly on Thursday at the team’s ATTC training grounds.

The Phobians fell behind in the early stages of the first half before two strikes from James Abban in the second half restored confidence ahead of their plucky Premier League clash at Aduana Stars on Sunday.

Hearts season has gone on the skid in the second half of the season and their new boss C.K Akonnor is keen to halt their slide.

Hearts travel to Dorma-Ahenkro to face Aduana well aware they need to grind out a positive result to keep the chase on leaders and arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.
