Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak paid 42,000 Euros in compensation to Nebojsa Vucicevic who was sacked as head coach last month.

The 50-year-old was axed last month after a poor run of results in the opening four matches in the second round of the league.

Vucicevic led the club to second place and nine points behind leaders Asante Kotoko.

The Serbian was at the club's Kpobiman training ground near Accra to bid farewell to the playing body and the new technical team.

He has been replaced by ex-Ghana captain CK Akunnor who recorded his first win in two matches last Sunday at Aduana Stars.
