Hearts of Oak players will be smiling all the way to the bank if they are able to beat Asante Kotoko in the big Ghanaian derby on Sunday.

The Phobians trail their arch rivals in the Premier League by a staggering ten points ahead of the week 23 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi where Kotoko have been invisible this season.

But Hearts' recent surge in form - managing back-to-back wins over Aduana and All Stars under coach C.K Akunnor coupled with their good record playing in Kumasi makes the prospect of coming away with maximum points a real possibility.

Directors, Management members and eminent supporters of the club have in the course of the week visited the team's training ground to promise mouth-watering rewards to the players as a way of motivation with the sole aim of beating the Fabulous lads.

"The players themselves know that a game like this holds a lot of significance for our club," Board Member Frank Nelson told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"We as leaders of the team in our individual capacities have promised the team huge rewards if they beat Kotoko in Kumasi.

"These are one of many things we are doing to encourage and motivate the boys for the game and Godwilling they will deliver victory for us on Sunday."
