Hearts of Oak midfield gem, Ibrahim Salifu has expressed disappointment in the team's 6-1 mauling by Wydad Athletic Club, but insists lessons have been learnt.

The midfielder was part of the team as they suffered their heaviest defeat in Africa on Sunday, October 24, 2021 in Casablanca.

"Not the results we hoped for. Lessons well learnt, onto the next challenge. Travelling mercies. We never say die," he wrote on Twitter.

Hearts, who lost 7-2 on aggregate will now shift their attention to the CAF Confederation Cup.

Goalkeepers trainer Eric Amponsah remains positive of what lies ahead despite the heavy defeat.

"Don't lose hope. Hearts of Oak, when the sun goes down, the stars come out. 6-1 was not our expected score line. Phobia!," he posted on Twitter.
