Ex Hearts of Oak striker Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour insists monies promised the team for winning the African Champions League remains outstanding 11 years after the feat was achieved. The entire playing body was promised an accumulated bonus of $20,000 each after making a clean sweep of all titles in site but 11-years on, officials are yet to make do of this promise. “I throw the challenge to Hearts to come out and confirm if they gave us any money,” Kuffour told Joy Sports. “Some bits and pieces of cash were given to us occasionally but those amounts do not even accumulate to $10,000.” But Hearts Board Secretary Ernest Thompson who was called to confirm Kuffour’s claims sound less convincing on the issue. “I am not sure of what Kuffour is saying, I would have to check and get back to you on that," Thompson said. “However if indeed, such monies are being owed then it should reflect in the audited accounts as outstanding debts which should be paid,” he said.

The club's general secretary Ashford Tetteh Oku also fluffed his lines when he was pressed on the issue insisting he doesn't think a US$ 20,000 agreement was made.

Meanwhile, Hearts supporters have described as 'disgraceful' the revelation and have called on the club to make good their promise.

Awudu Bozie, a key member of  'Chapter O', says the clubs leaders will face a serious revolt if they don't pay the players the money.

"This is disgraceful. For these players to bring this big honour to the club for the first time it is only moral for them to be paid their due," Bozie said.

"How can future players trust us when we make promises to them? That's why players can't trust us if we want to sign them.

"The clubs leaders will have to sort this out or we the supporters must take action against them."
