An unnamed Hearts of Oak supporters leader was subjected to severe beatings by angry Techiman City fans ahead of tensed Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.

Reports from Techiman indicate a number of irate City fans grabbed the Hearts man at the match venue over suspicion of superstition.

The Secretary of Hearts of Oak's Chapter 158 in Techiman had visited the match venue to watch a Division One League encounter involving Berlin FC and Gaun United and he was attacked by Techiman City over suspicion he played 'juju' at the venue.

But Hearts supporters leadership stormed the Police Station and secured bail for the assaulted fan. The Phobians held a mammoth rally in the busy Brong Ahafo regional town on Saturday to commemorate the big clash.

However some fans have fingered Techiman City President Charles Kwadwo Ntim for inciting his supporters against Hearts fans after he made comments on Asempa FM that his supporters will be intolerant on the day.

Hearts are unbeaten away this season and have scored in the second-half of each of their six Premier League games except the week three clash with Dwarfs which ended in a stalemate.

City are also yet to drop points at the Nana Ohene Ameyaw Park on their debut season in the top-flight. They have beaten Dreams FC, Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea. But all their victories have slim 1-0 wins.
