Hearts of Oak could be without midfielder Uriah Asante for up to two months, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The 19-year-old suffered a groin tear during the first half of Sunday's Ghana Premier League derby against perennial rivals Asante Kotoko.

Further tests are yet to be conducted to determine the severity of the injury but Hearts coach Nebojsa Vucicevic is already bracing himself for the worst.

"Today we lost Uriah Asante, he is out for maybe two months and that is a problem," he told GHANAsoccernet.com

Asante is one of the few reasons the club is doing relatively well this season and his absence clearly hurt the team against Kotoko.

His skills and ability to create chances for his team will be sorely missed if indeed he is to miss out for the speculated period.
