Helegbe wants Kotoko move ratified in time

Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Helegbe has told GHANAsoccernet.com he is growing apprehensive after his debut was delayed for another week.

The 26-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors from Liberty Professionals last month but his hugely anticipated bow has been delayed due to concerns over his eligibility.

Officials of the Kumasi-based side will meet with the legal committee of the Ghana FA by the close of the week to clarify his status.

But the former Ghana Under-23 captain is eager for the matter to be resolved quickly so he can feature for the league leaders.

"I am very eager at the moment because I want the issue resolved so I can start playing for the club," Helegbe told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"I have confident it will be settled sooner rather than later because I want to be involved in our Premier League title ambitions.

"I want to be part of history at this great club and that’s my concern. I have absolute trust and faith in the management team to work it out for me."

Helegbe was granted a floating status by the Ghana federation after his contract with Liberty Professionals was terminated.
