Helena Costa says it's unfair to compare AS Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Costa, who coached Silva as a junior player in Portugal, believes the midfielder can emerge as a leader of the national team.
"Difficult to compare him with Cristiano," Costa told Le Figaro.
"He's not quite the same type of player. I see Bernardo as a real number 10 and not as a flank player. And unlike Ronaldo, he's a more reserved, calmer player. He tends to stay in his place.
"He could take the leadership of this team, but in a few years, when he has gained more experience in internationals."
