Helsingborg coach Hansen is excited by the progress made by David Accam

Helsingborg manager Roar Hansen is wowed by the rapid transformation of Ghana attacker David Accam.

Accam, 22, moved to the Stadion Olympia from third-tier side Östersunds FK during the second half of last season but has already warmed himself into the hearts of the Di Röe fans with his swashbuckling form.

On his debut season, the Right to Dream Academy product netted five time as a supporting striker in ten appearances.

Accam, dubbed the Ghana 'Neymar' got Helsingborg's season campaign for a flying start when he netted a double and set up the opener when he led the attack in a 3-0 thrashing of Djurgården at the Stadion Olympia.

And, Helsingborg boss Hansen is delighted about his attacker's progress.

He said: "It's gone very quickly for David. Until August, he played in Division 1 of Östersund. The fact that he was thrown into the European game right away when he came, he got just hang on and run and he did it really good.

"Since he has been training a lot, he's been injury-free and played a lot.

"He is a normal boy who is interested in becoming a better, listening to their coach and their older teammates," he ended.
