Aspiring Ghana coach Herbert Addo is shocked at Marcel Desailly's decision to withdraw from the coaching race.

The ex-France captain said he was no longer interested in the job on Monday after claiming he has run out of patience.

Addo, who handles Ghanaian champions Aduana Stars, says his compatriot's decision is ill-timed.

"I don't know why he decided to opt out but it’s a shame to take such a decision as this crucial time," Addo said

"He may his reason to do that and I think he is entitled to that. I only wish he could have been around to know how it goes. As for me I’m forever ready for the job and I’m just waiting for the interviewing date."

Portuguese Humberto Cuelho and Serbian Goran Stevanovic are the other two in the reckoning for the job.
