Hertha Berlin midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng: Eintracht Frankfurt clash "will definitely be very emotional"

Hertha Berlin midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng says it will be emotional when he comes up against his former club Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Boateng wore the Hessen jersey in the 2017/18 season and surprisingly won the DFB Cup as they beat Bayern Munich in the final with the Ghanaian on target.

"Frankfurt are maybe a bit tired after the defeat in Madrid. I was hoping that they would win against Madrid and I would like to do it again next week, but of course, we want to keep the three points here," Boateng said.

However, the midfielder from Hertha BSC knows: "It will be very difficult because Frankfurt have a very intensive and aggressive team. They play great football. It will definitely not be easy, but we are looking forward to our first home game."

And Boateng also has reason to be happy because "I can see a lot of old faces again. I'm also looking forward to Mario Götze, I haven't seen him for a long time. It will definitely be very emotional, I'm really happy," said the 35th -year-old.

Despite the defeats against Braunschweig in the DFB Cup (5:6) and Union at the start of the Bundesliga (1:3), he remains optimistic.

"That can happen in football, you just have to draw the right conclusions from it. We did that. We talked a lot and analyzed what was missing in the games. On Saturday we have the opportunity to do better - even if it's against my old home country," explains Boateng.
