Ghanaian defender David Acquah has spearheaded his Israeli outfit Hapoel Nof Hagalil to the elite division of the country’s football league after recording a win over Beitar Tel Aviv on Friday afternoon.

Acquah, 20, signed for Maccabi Haifi in 2019 but was shipped out on loan at second-tier side Hapoel Nof Hagalil.

The former Tudu Mighty Jets guardsman quickly established himself as an instrumental figure.

The towering centre-back played an incredible role as Hapoel Nof Hagalil held his parent club Beitar Tel Aviv to a 3-3 draw on the final day of the season.

Hapoel Nof Hagalil are reported to be have tabled an offer to acquire the Ghanaian defender on a permanent contract.

He played 29 times and recorded 3 goals for Hapoel Nof Hagalil.

Acquah was handed a call up into the Black Satellites for the 2021 African Youth Championship in Mauritania.

But he failed to join the team to the tournament due to lockdown restrictions in Israel which did not permit travel out of the country.

However, Acquah is available for the Toulon Tournament which comes off in June in France scheduled to be honoured  by the Black Satellites.
