Higuain 'tried to escape quarantine and fly to Argentina with his family'

According to La Repubblica, Gonzalo Higuain tried to ‘escape’ quarantine and fly to Argentina with his family, despite two Juventus teammates testing positive for coronavirus.

The newspaper’s online edition claims that police stopped him at the Caselle Airport in Turin as he tried to board a private jet, where he showed them a test that confirmed he was negative for COVID-19.

However, as the disease has such a long incubation period and two teammates – Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi – tested positive, Higuain was ordered to stay in self-isolation for at least another week.

As regular flights to Argentina from Italy are cancelled, it’s also reported by La Repubblica than Pipita and his family instead intended to cross the border into France, then Spain, from there flying to South America.
