Holstein Kiel grants Ghana forward  Kwasi Okyere Wriedt extra holidays ahead of preseason

Ghana and Holstein Kiel forward Kwasi Okyere Wriedt will take some extra days off due to his involvement with the Ghana national team.

The former Bayern Munich II striker was invited for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic.

The 27-year-old played five minutes in the game against Central Africa Republic in Angola which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Wriedt is also traveling with the team to Japan for the Krin tournament which kicks off on Friday June 10.

With Holstein Kiel set to commence preseason in the coming days, the Ghana striker has been given some days off to rest.

Holstien Kiel will begin with a fitness test followed by a first-team training session next week.

The Bundesliga II club will travel to Austria for preseason at the end of June.

Holstein Kiel will face Mannheim in the DFB Pokal on July 30, 2022.
