Honduran youngster of Ghanaian descent Wisdom Quaye is excited by the new first team opportunities at Club Deportivo Social Vida.

Four years ago, Quaye was touted as the next big thing in Honduras football after bursting onto the scene at CD Social Vida youth side.

His versatility, speed and superb ball control earned him a place in the Honduras U-17 side that participated at the 2015 U-17 FIFA World Cup in Chile.

But the 20-year-old winger has failed to live up to the billing, playing only five senior games for the club in recent times.

However, the arrival of coach Hector Castellon has brought a new lease of life into the younger after impressing in a brief appearance in their 1-1 stalemate with Platense last weekend.

"I have been working in the best way to find the opportunity, once it is up to one to know how to take advantage of  it and continue to give us that much-needed confidence," said striker Quaye.

"Thank God I have been working well in silence, now that they put me to play it shows my ability to like and that they keep taking me in. What I am looking for is to consolidate myself in the team, but I know that it is a little, God first I will achieve great things."

Quaye's impressive cameo could earn him a starting berth when they play as hosts to Montagua in the Honduran top-flight league on Sunday.
