In a giant leap following his performance in the Primavera, Ghanaian forward Phillip Yeboah Ankrah has been promoted to the first team of Hellas Verona.
Confirming the development, his agent Oliver Arthur added that the striker is ready for the challenge.
Ankrah, 17, is now training with the Hellas Verona first team awaiting his senior Italian Serie A debut.
The striker delivered consistently in the junior echelons at Hellas for years and that form has been rewarded.
He scored 8 goals in 22 appearances in the COVID-19 hit season and it is expected his senior debut could come as early as this season, in one of the remaining 2019/20 Serie A fixtures.
Ankrah is an imposing centre-forward with one of the highest talent ratings in the Italian Primavera.
