Striker Emmanuel Clottey insists  he is not under pressure to continue his goal scoring form against Al Ahly on Saturday.

The ambitious Ghanaian side will play as guest of the six-time winners at the Cairo Military stadium in the third group game of Africa’s elite inter-club competition.

The former Wacker Innsbruck and Odense BK attacker has raked in an incredible 11 goals in seven matches and just two goals shy of equaling Stepen Worghu’s 13-goal haul set in 2007.

He silenced his critics with a brace at Congolese giants TP Mazembe two weeks ago and the 24-year-old is optimistic he can continue his rich vein of scoring form against the record-holders.

“Not at all. I’m under no pressure. God is my fortress and the source of my inspiration and so there is no fears,” Clottey told Kumasi-based Fox FM

“I am ready. It is difficult in the eyes of man but it not difficult in the eyes of God,”

“My target remains 18 goals and I have not moved from that. I can only attain that if I score not only at Egypt but get the goals in the rest of the matches.”

The Blues will leave Accra on Thursday afternoon ahead of the game against their opponent this weekend.
