Hull City have confirmed Ghana forward Benjamin Tetteh will be out for weeks after picking an injury during the game against Sheffield United.

The Black Stars striker, 28, was forced off after 14 minutes of the English Championship game due to the knock.

“He’s out for weeks," Hull City manager Shorta Arveladze said.

“It’s difficult to say (how many weeks) - it could be four, or it could be six. It all depends on how he reacts. We’ll see during the process how quickly he recovers. We’re going to do our best and see (how it goes)," he added.

This means Tetteh will miss Ghana's international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua later this month.

He was named in coach Otto Addo's squad for the friendlies on September 23, in Le Havre- France and September 27, in Spain.

Tetteh joined the Tigers in the summer transfer window from Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor.
