Former Asante Kotoko striker Abass Mohammed has launched a scathing attack on Amos Frimpong, claiming the ex-club captain is a hypocrite and lacked leadership skills during his time in Kumasi.

Mohammed, currently on the radar of Nigerian side Enyimba FC, claims the former Kotoko captain blew hot and cold during their time at the club.

In a no-hold barred attack, the former Medeama striker launched the sensational attack on the AS Kaloum right-back, questioning his leadership qualities.

"Our captain at the time (Amos Frimpong) is a hypocrite. He blows hot and cold and does not have any leadership qualities," he told Sunyani-based Akonoba FM

"I don't know how it will be interpreted but I am only speaking the truth. It's what I saw that I am reiterating

"Amos is a good player but does not have leadership qualities. How can a leader listen to our problems, take it to management and gets himself sorted with money and ignore the concerns of the players he leads.

"I will say it over and over again that Amos is a hypocrite and not fit to lead any team."

Abass Mohammed spent two seasons with Kotoko after a successful spell at Medeama.

However, an injury kept him out of action for 12-months and only played a bit-part role due to the setback.

He subsequently left for Nigerian side Enyimba FC on a permanent contract.
