West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus has conceded that he is still short of his best form, despite his efforts to improve his performances.

The Ghana international has struggled to replicate his impressive debut campaign at the club, with a tough start to the 2024/25 season.

Kudus has been directly involved in just four games in 18 Premier League appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

His form has drawn criticism, but the 24-year-old is working hard to regain his confidence and get back to his best shape.

"I set higher standards for myself. I'm not there yet, but we keep working because, individually and as a team, we all know the reality of the situation we are in," Kudus said. He emphasised his desire to improve his goal and assist tally, while prioritising the team's need for more points.

Last season, Kudus enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, netting eight goals and setting up six others in the English top flight, while averaging 75 minutes per game.

He is determined to replicate that form and help West Ham United climb the Premier League table.
