Ex-Ghana striker Baffour Gyan, who is the closest adviser and mentor of Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, says he’s in the dark over reports his brother will reconsider his decision not to take penalties for the country.
Gyan is quoted as saying he will reassess his current stance on the emotive matter following the side’s penalty ache defeat to Ivory Coast in the finals of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations held in Equatorial Guinea.
The Al Ain attacker has declined penalty duties with the Black Stars after he came under massive attack in the wake of two important penalty-misses against Uruguay and Zambia between 2010 and 2012.
The ex-Ghana international who has massive influence of the Black Stars captain says he’s unware over reports his brother will sleep over calls to reconsider his spot kick boycott.
“I cannot answer this. Honestly, I don’t know where this is coming from.â€
He was tactically substituted in the dying minutes in that game to avoid taking part in the spot kick.
