Ghana international Inaki Williams has expressed his disappointment and frustration over the officiating in Athletic Bilbao's Spanish Super Cup semi-final defeat to Barcelona.
The match, played in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, saw Barcelona advance to the final with a 2-0 victory.
Williams' goal in the 86th minute was disallowed following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, sparking controversy and debate.
The forward felt that the decision was unfair and inconsistent with the application of officiating standards throughout the match.
"I find it strange that these types of plays are cancelled. I don't think it's fair," Williams said in a post-match interview. "It was like playing away from home."
Williams also implied that there was inconsistency in the application of officiating standards, suggesting that the rules seemed to be applied differently to different teams.
"It seems that the rules are not the same for everyone," he added.
The defeat sees Barcelona advance to the final, where they will face the winner of the second semi-final between Real Madrid and Real Mallorca.
