Celtic young right Jeremie Frimpong has disclosed he is considering changing his style of play to avoid bad tackles.

The Dutch born Ghanaian believes his 'soft' style of play is the reason for the injury that has kept him out of Celtic's last seven games.

However, the former Manchester City youth team player who could make a return to action against Copenhagen in the Europa League on Thursday insists he has to go in 'hard in a good way.'

“If you’re on the pitch, you can’t be soft. You have to change your style of play. If you have to go in hard, you have to go in hard, but in the right way” he said, as quoted by the Daily Record.

"Next time in that situation, I will just kick it around, just dodge it a little bit. I’ll just have to change my tactics. Instead of running directly, I’ll just pass the ball then run.”

Frimpong is enjoying a flying start to his Celtic career since joining from English champions Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

His performances has seen him attract interest from the English Premier League, with Southampton watching him during before his injury.
