Former Eleven Wonders coach Nii Odartey Lamptey has disclosed that he continues to support some of the club’s players financially, even after parting ways with the team.

Odartey Lamptey, a former Ghana international, took charge of Eleven Wonders following their return to the Premier League. However, after failing to secure a victory in the first nine games of the 2025/26 season, he left his role as head coach.

In a recent interview with Asempa FM, he revealed that he has been providing meals and transportation money to players despite no longer holding an official position at the club.

"Eleven Wonders players talk to me every day because of what I was doing for them before I left. I am still doing that. It is sad, but what can you do?" he said.

He added that while he is aware of the challenges facing the club, he does not place blame on Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku or the Executive Council.

"You look at what they are going through, and they will still have to go and play games. I will never blame Kurt Okraku and the Executive Council of the GFA for what is happening in the club.

"I have a lot of evidence of what is happening at the club, but I am happy that J.E. Sarpong is out talking about what is happening at the club."

He also described his ongoing support for players, saying, "I am no longer the head coach of the club, but some of the players come to my house and eat, and I give them transportation as well.

"I feel very emotional about what has happened," he added.

Eleven Wonders, currently at the bottom of the league with just three points, will be hoping to register their first win of the season when they host Dreams FC in Matchday 12 this weekend.
