I still have six years of football in me- Aduana Stars captain Emmanuel Akuoko

Aduana Stars defender Emmanuel Akuoko has dismissed claims that his career is coming to end after over a decade in the Ghana Premier League.

The two times Ghana Premier League champion is not hanging his boots anytime soon, and believes he has six more years of football in him.

“I’m not retiring anytime soon, I still have 6 years in my playing career," he told Ashh FM. “That’s when I will end my football career,” he added.

Akuoko is the longest serving player at Aduana Stars, playing a key role in the club's successes in recent times.

The experienced defender was a member of the team that gained promotion to the topflight in 2009, helping the club win a historic premier league title in their first season.

The 28-year old played an even more influential role when the team won the 2017 Ghana Premier League title.

Akuoko has remained loyal to the Dormaa Ahenkro outfit despite interest from top clubs in Africa in the past.
