Highly-rated Ghanaian coach Samuel Boadu has opened up on what some people told him prior to his surprise move to Hearts of Oak.

According to the Black Satellites coach, he was advised against leaving Medeama for the Phobians.

However, he snubbed them because he is a risk-taker.

“[Some] people advised me against moving to Hearts of Oak but I like risks,” Boadu said on Kumasi-based Pure FM.

Fortunately for Boadu, the risk was worth taking.

He has ended the season with two trophies, something he could not achieve in his four years at Medeama.

On Sunday, Hearts beat AshantiGold on penalties to claim the MTN FA Cup. It came almost a month after Boadu's side clinched Ghana Premier League.

That means Hearts have won the double for the first time since 2000 and a record-extending six times.
