Newly reinstated Palermo boss Giuseppe Iachini thanked the Rosanero president Maurizio Zamparini for handing him the reins once again at the Sicilian club.
The former Sampdoria coach was fired by Zamparini three months ago following over two years at the Stadio Renzo Barbera, during which he guided the club out of Serie B back to the big time in 2014.
“I want to thank the president [Zamparini] for the kind words he wrote about me and my staff,” Iachini told the club’s official website.
“I will be back in Palermo with great enthusiasm for the good of the club, the team and the fans.
“Now we need to remain united and compact, and work hard day after day, with the desire to win, and as soon as possible secure the club’s safety in Serie A.
“TOGETHER we can do it! Forza Palermo.”
