Bankroller of King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grusah is unhappy that his club has lost its protest against Tamale City Football Club in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season in relation to the fielding of an unqualified player.
In its ruling today, the Committee said its checks have confirmed that the player in question, Isaac Mensah was qualified to play in the game.
“The GFA Disciplinary Committee has dismissed King Faisal FC's protest case against Tamale City FC in relation to their betPawa Premier League Matchweek 30 game which was played at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
“King Faisal FC protested against their opponent for fielding an unqualified player, Isaac Mensah in the said match who they claim has another registration in the system as Jireh Kojo Nissi.
“The Disciplinary Committee however ruled that the player Isaac Mensah who played in the said match was duly qualified to play,” parts of a communique on the website of the Ghana FA said.
Unhappy with the ruling, Alhaji Grusah has told Akoma FM that if he was not a God-fearing person he would have bought a gun and shot all members of the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee.
“If I wasn't a Religious person who fears God so much, I swear, I would have bought a gun and shot the disciplinary committee members for such a ruling.
“The player in question had double identity. Same protest was filed against Skyy FC by Nations FC and they won it. The player himself through an interview even confirmed it. That alone should have won the case for us,” Grusah said.
According to the veteran football administrator, his club will take the matter to CAS if it has to and pursue the case until justice is served.
