Honourable Kobena Woyome, Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports and Culture says the country should be ready to pay for a competent coach if they want an expatriate.

According to him, the current technical team led by Coach Milovan Rajevac were disastrous leading to Ghana's shameful exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The four-time Africa champions were kicked out of the tournament in the group stages by debutants Comoros.

Ghana picked just one point from the group stages losing to Morocco and Comoros.

The Black Stars performance at the tournament is one of the worst ever in the country's history in the competition.

Speaking in an interview the Member of Parliament for South Tongu on the shameful exit of the Black Stars from the competition said, "If we have to go for a foreign coach it should not employ a  cheap coach but a very competent one worth the price", he told Akoma FM.

"Our Committee sees the output of Black Stars at AFCON as terrible and unprecedented. Our defeat to Comoros makes the situation worse. The Sports, Youth Committee will be making a statement to Parliament on our horrible performance. I am so loaded but I want to download it at Parliament before coming out", he added.
