IFK Göteborg midfielder Lawson Sabah says he wants to emulate senior compatriots Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien by winning the UEFA Champions League.
Sabah, 18, is likely to be unleashed in the Swedish top-flight this term after impressive work with the junior team.
The central midfielder was transferred from Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies but was never fielded in the senior side.
“Many players from Africa has succeeded by Sweden. I can also do it,” Sabah said.
"When I was growing up, I saw Essien and Muntari play in the Champions League. It was amazing to see them, from Ghana, winning the Champions League. If I also get a chance to play Champions League and win, I would be very happy."
Sabah has been in top shape on pre-season in Dubai with IFK Göteborg.
