Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has disclosed that he will need more months of preparation before he can get back his fitness to return to the pitch.
The 28-year old announced his retirement last year after battling with a knee injury for the most part of his career.
Frimpong has been linked with a move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window according to reports in the Ghanaian media.
The combative midfielder who is a known lover of the Porcupine Warriors says it might take some time for him to regain fitness after been away from the game for a long time.
" At the moment obviously, I have been away from the game for so many years and it is going to take me a couple of months to get back to the fitness I think is required to play", Frimpong told TV3.
Frimpong also denied reports of him joining Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.
"At the moment if I'm being honest is far from the truth and there is nothing concrete. You are never ready unless you are tested".
