"I'm ready to coach"-Aboagye

Ex-international Felix Ahmed Aboagye feels technically fit to sit on the Liberty Professionals bench as an assistant coach after a one-week attachment at French Ligue 1 side Rennes.

The 34-year-old exchanged his boots for a role on the touchline after hanging up his boot after a 12-year playing career.

The former Zamalek and Al Ahly striker hopes he can impact positively on the Dansoman-based team.

"It was very successful and I got the infrastructure of the club, they gave me access to everything and I learnt a lot about the game and the tactical and technical aspects and on formations so I have idea about the coaching job," Aboagye said.

"I thank Liberty for sponsoring me because it's not easy to have a club in Ghana who can give you assistance.

"If you are player is different and if you are coach too it's different so I think as am now assistant coach, I can give what I have learnt to the young guys and can enhance my reputation as a coach."

Aboagye won five Leaue titles with Al Ahly and won the African Champions League with Zamalek in 2002.
