The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, shared his delight on Saturday after the team’s dominant victory over Young Apostles in the Ghana Premier League.
The gaffer on the matchday guided his team to a thrilling 3-0 triumph to end a two-game losing streak.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Ibrahim Tanko commended his players for a fantastic first half performance which produced the goals, while indicating that although his boys should have scored more in the second half, he was satisfied with the three points.
“We had a fantastic first half in terms of ball possession, chance creation and converting the chances to score. In the second half, we had to score, but they relaxed because of the big lead.
“In all, I’m satisfied with the three points and the fact that we kept a clean sheet,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko said.
The victory lifts Ibrahim Tanko's side to fifth place on the league table with 44 points from 29 matches, while Young Apostles drop to 13th, facing a challenging end to the season.
