Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp has described his move to Celtic as a dream come true and expressed his desire to accomplish “great things” with the Scottish champions.
The 32-year-old versatile midfielder completed a deadline-day transfer from Crystal Palace to Celtic on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Schlupp is expected to make his debut in Celtic’s match against Dundee tonight.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Schlupp shared his excitement: “I’m super excited. It’s actually been one of my dreams, as much as many others, to play for such a great club like Celtic.
"I had the pleasure of playing here about nine years ago in a pre-season match, so I’ve been to the stadium before. The atmosphere was something exciting, and as soon as the opportunity came up, I was really excited about it.”
Schlupp is also looking forward to reuniting with former Leicester City teammate Kasper Schmeichel at Celtic. The two were part of the historic Leicester City squad that won the Premier League title in 2016.
Schlupp’s arrival boosts Celtic’s squad as they chase a domestic treble and prepare for a crucial Champions League play-off against Bayern Munich.
