Accra Hearts of Oak fans have hailed their win over Ghana Immigration FC in the Ghana FA Cup round of 64 as a good preparatory match for the Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians defeated the security service team, which plays in the Division Two League, 4-0 to progress to the round of 32.
The record FA Cup trophy winners scored all four goals in the second half at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday, with Mawuli Wayo netting a brace.
Speaking to Asempa FM after the game, Hearts of Oak fans were optimistic that the victory could serve as a springboard for the Kotoko game on December 15.
“It is a good motivation and a good preparatory game for us. It will motivate the boys for the upcoming games. We have a one-week break, and the fans should brace themselves so we can go and support the team,” said one fan.
A second fan added, “The four goals against Danbort, we need them in Kumasi in two weeks. What I will say is that the players and the fans need to go to Kumasi with this vim.”
Asante Kotoko themselves scored twice in the second half to secure a 2-0 win over Future Stars.
