If the launch of the 2011/12 FA Cup is anything to go by then football fans are in for an exciting competition this year.
The expertly organized event which took place at the Conference Room of the College of Physicians and Surgeons on Friday evening provided quality entertainment and excitements which sustained interests throughout the program.
To begin with, the stage, lighting, sound and all decorations of the auditorium were spot on.
The event started right on time with invited guests being treated to delightful delicacies, while they take time to socialize and do some catching up before the commencement of the main event which by the way also started on time.
A perfect MC combination of Carl Tuffour and Shamima Muslim guaranteed the accuracy of football history through quality presentation.
The well co-ordinated performances of Kwaku Gyasi and Screwface had all including the Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament Hon. Rashid Pelpuo alongside other dignitaries up on the dance floor.
The excitements and thrills associated with the draw of the competition especially during the pairing of Nania FC and Great Olympics kept the audience well intrigued.
In a nutshell, the event was well organized and did not disappoint to entertain but was made possible through the joint hardwork of the FA Cup and Events Committee.
Personalities such as Kurt Okraku and Jamil Marabi were at the venue as early as 5am to supervise preparations leading to the night’s event and hardly did they sit down until the show had come to a successful end.
The event had been a consistent improvement of last season’s launch and award ceremony which by the way was well crafted and filled with a lot of excitements.
One could now only hope the action on the field of play will provide an even more spectacle than the pre-match formalities and more importantly produce a deserving winner as it did last season.
