In-form Barnsley beat Bournemouth

Carlton Morris' header gave Barnsley all three points

Barnsley continued their brilliant run of form with a victory at fellow play-off hopefuls Bournemouth that sent them up to sixth in the Championship.

Michal Helik tapped in at the back post to put the visitors in front before Arnaut Danjuma slotted home a leveller after good work from Junior Stanislas.

Dominic Solanke gave the home side the lead just before the break when he slotted home from Danjuma's low cross after the Dutchman got played in down the left.

Dominik Frieser finished well to equalise for the Reds before substitute Carlton Morris rose brilliantly to head home Alex Mowatt's fine floated free-kick.

The Tykes are now unbeaten in their past 11 games and are five points clear of the Cherries in seventh.

Valerien Ismael's side were seven points off the top six when they last lost a league game on 19 January but their fantastic run of form, which included seven straight wins, means they now have a clear gap on the chasing pack with 10 matches to play.

With his side 2-1 down at the break Ismael made three changes and it was one of them who proved to be the match-winner as Morris powered a header past Cherries goalkeeper Asmir Begovic with 10 minutes to go.

Jonathan Woodgate's men host automatic-promotion chasing Swansea on Tuesday while Barnsley will look to extend their unbeaten run to 12 when they visit bottom-of-the-table Wycombe on Wednesday.
