In-form FK Jerv midfielder Michael Baidoo named in Norway 1. Division Team of the Week

Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo has been selected for the team of the week in the Norway 1. Division after a man of the match performance for Jerv in their big win over Oygarden. 

The red-hot midfielder provided a brace of assists as FK Jerv convincing defeated Oygarden 4-2 on Saturday at the J.J Ugland Stadion.

His eye-catching performance earned him high ratings as he found his place in the best eleven over the weekend in Norway.

Baidoo set up the opener after just 14 minutes, releasing John Olav Norheim for the opener.

Ikhsan Fandi's doubled Jerv's lead five minutes after the break before Michael Baidoo served Daniel Aase with a sumptuous assist to make it 3-0 before the hour mark.

Singaporean forward Ikhsan Fandi had his brace to hand Jerv a 4-0 lead on 64 minutes.

Michael Baidoo was replaced in the 76th minute, and immediately after walking off the visitors pulled one back through Christopher Udeh. And with just seconds left Bjarte Haugsdal half the deficit.

The former Ghana U-20 midfielder has been instrumental for a re-surging FK Jerv, who are now on a run of six games without defeat.

Baidoo, who produced a Man of the Match performance on Saturday, has scored twice in 19 games providing three assist so far.
