Ghana winger, Joseph Painstil continued his decent run of form with another goal contribution as Genk were held to a draw by KV Mechelen.

The forward was giving a starting role after his brace against Club Brugge in midweek, and after just four minutes he came close to breaking the deadlock.

Painstil was lively in the early minutes after a brilliant run, his thunderous strike wan punched into the path Theo Bogonda, who netted the opener for the visitors.

Genk failed to add another as Mechelen leveled through Gaetan Couke five minutes after the break.

Joseph Painstil was replaced in the 72nd minute by Paul Onuachu as Genk and Mechelen share the spoils.

The former Ghana U20 player has now netted four goals and provided two assists across all competitions for the Belgium giants.
