In-form Joe Dodoo on target as Wigan record third straight win in League One

Ghanaian forward Joe Dodoo netted his second goal in the last three matches as Wigan Athletic cruised to victory against Crewe Alexandra in the English League One.

The former Leicester City winger has rediscovered his form at the right time to help Wigan move further away from the drop in England's third tier.

Dodoo opened the scoring after just fifteen minutes at the DW Stadium following a strong start by the Lactics.

Lee Evans doubled the lead in the second half from the spot to make it three wins in the last three games for Wigan Athletic.

Joe Dodoo who joined the Lactics in the winter transfer window has been key to the club's recent run of form, scoring and providing an assist in the 4-1 victory at Doncaster.

He provided double assists in last week's 2-1 win against Sunderland before netting the opener in the game against Crewe on Saturday.

The former Rangers and Blackpool attacker has made 15 appearances since joining in February 2021, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
